Overview
The Tanzania Safari 7 Days itinerary offers a complete wildlife experience across the most iconic destinations of the Northern Tanzania Safari Circuit. This one-week safari is designed to provide extensive game viewing, diverse landscapes, and a comprehensive exploration of Tanzania’s top national parks — Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara.
The journey begins in Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds, baobab-studded landscapes, and seasonal migration of wildlife. Game drives offer excellent chances to spot lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species.
The safari continues to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations. Here, travelers witness the vast savannah plains, abundant predators, and — depending on the season — the Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing areas.
Next, the adventure takes you to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino — all within the same area. The crater floor is also home to hippos, flamingos, gazelles, and numerous bird species, making it a top photographic destination.
Finally, the tour includes a visit to Lake Manyara National Park, well known for its tree-climbing lions, pink flamingos, and scenic views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
This 7-day Tanzania safari can be arranged as a lodge safari or budget camping safari, depending on the traveler’s preferences. It offers a well-balanced mix of wildlife encounters, scenic beauty, and cultural experiences, making it ideal for travelers seeking a comprehensive and memorable safari adventure in Tanzania.
